Family Holidays – 10 Reasons to go Camping in France

Family Summer Holiday in France

For many British families, 2 weeks camping in France every summer is their perfect holiday. However, we don’t need to tell them why they should go again. We do hope to convert the families who want a warm, sunny, relaxing or active holiday this summer but when they think of camping they picture soggy tents in a UK campsite with cold children.
Here are our reasons why luxury camping in France is the perfect summer holiday for UK families of all ages.

10 Great Reasons to Enjoy a Luxury Camping Holiday

  1. Great Summer Weather
  2. Nouvelle Floride Beach - France Break holiday in the sun

France has a reputation for lovely summer weather. It can rain but the summer holiday months are generally warm and sunny. The further south you travel, the hotter it will be, however not too hot that you can’t enjoy the outdoors.

  3. Close to the UK
  4. There are lots of options for travelling to France and all are relatively cheap and easy. You can drive the whole way using one of the many Ferry options or the Eurotunnel. Or if you don’t like driving there are options to fly with one of the many low cost airlines. It is then up to you whether you get a transfer to your campsite and then just stay local to that area, or hire a car so that you can explore the surrounding towns and villages.

  5. Enjoy camping with all the mod cons
  6. Luxury camping in France with France BreakForget about soggy tents and sleeping on the ground. We recommend luxury French camping which means staying in a mobile home or cottage with comfy beds and all the facilities you could need such as your own bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. These self-catering holiday homes will have their own private garden or decking area for sunbathing and dining. Of course, if you would prefer a tent you could still enjoy the comfort of a bed in a luxury yurt.

  7. Plenty of activities to keep your children happy
  8. Swimming pool complex in French campsite
A typical French campsite, holiday park or holiday village will at the very minimum have a swimming pool. At France Break, we only sell holidays to the best campsites that have many amenities and entertainment. Most will have heated swimming pools and water parks, a kid’s club, evening entertainment and sports facilities such as tennis courts.
